As regards this cash book: I have now recovered
the cash book in question, This is the one which was opened
by the shraf, Tsui, who will be himself oalbed,
Chairman: I understand he is coming here this afternoon?
Yes. This is the book which he opened to follow on the cash book which he was keeping for passports in the Police Departaent. He kept it in the same method, as I said, but with the addition,
aongst the particulars, of immigration fees. at a later date
the last entry is on 6th February about that time the
Auditor peld a visit to the Departant and suggested that this book should no longer be kept in this form and that separate books should be kept for passport fees and other matters and
for indgration fees. This book has been discontinuedi. I see that the entries up to 29th Jamary wore regularly initialled as having been checked against the reasury pay-in slips by either år, Ine or myself. I have further obtained
and shall bring out in evidence the copy made by a clerk un-er my instructions from the draft abstract form drawn up by an officer of the Treasury. I shall put that in in evidence. That is Mr. A.J.C. Taylor'sï

I have not seen that mimute for a long time. I have just now brought and handed to the secretary a number of the documents which I thought were missing this morning.
